Removing or Returning Long-Term Keys

Removing or Returning Long-Term Keys

To check out a key using key issue, log in with a user who has access to the “key issue in” and “key issue out” checkout reasons. These can be assigned when creating or editing a user.

On the home page, select “Get Keys”.

Search for the tag with the desired key, select it, and choose “Get Keys”.

For the checkout reason, select “Key Issue (OUT)” and click “Next”.

The drawer will now open, and the tag will light up. You can either remove the entire tag or remove the key and leave the tag in the drawer.

Close the drawer, then the "Key Issue Out" page will appear.

Select the key that is being checked out and the number of keys being issued. Fill out any additional information if needed.

Select “Finish” when done.

To return a long-term key, first return the key tag if you checked it out.

Then, select “Get Keys” on the home page.

Search for the tag that the spare key will be returned to.

Select it, and then select “Get Keys”.

For the checkout reason, select “Key Issue (IN)”, then click "Next".

The drawer will now open, and the tag will be lit up.

Return the key to the tag and close the drawer.

The "Key Issue In" page will appear. Select the key being checked in and add a note if needed.

Select “Finish”.
