New Guardian Versatile SmartPanel (VSP) 2.0 Gives Businesses Wider Range of Asset Control Methods

KeyTrak, Inc., the leading provider of key and asset management systems, has released a new version of its high-security electronic key control system, the KeyTrak Guardian. The new version, called the Versatile SmartPanel (VSP) 2.0, offers users more customization options, including a module for managing up to 12 cards — such as gas, fleet or building access cards — and a module designed to allow users to manage a small number of key rings (up to 12).

"We've had repeated demand for system modules dedicated to specific assets such as cards," said KeyTrak Vice President of Sales Richard Battle. "At the same time, it's not practical for businesses to purchase multiple systems or modules that are designed to accommodate large quantities of a single type of asset if they only need to manage a few of these asset types. The VSP 2.0 offers a more efficient option for businesses with that issue."

The Guardian VSP 2.0 consists of a SmartPanel containing a 15-inch touchscreen, fingerprint reader and motion-activated camera, as well as two 12-card or 12-key modules. If businesses need to manage more assets, customers can add an expansion panel that accommodates four 12-key or 12-card modules.

The system is also now compatible with other KeyTrak hardware, such as lockers and IntelLock drawers, which lock down up to 48 key cores.
