KeyTrak to Highlight Secure Key Control Solutions at NADA 2014
KeyTrak, Inc., the leading provider of key and asset management systems, will offer dealers demonstrations of its latest electronic key control technology at the 2014 National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) Convention and Expo, which will be held January 24-27 in New Orleans.
“Dealers are experiencing a boost in sales as the economy improves, but they’re facing a new set of challenges, such as the key swap scam,” said KeyTrak Vice President of Sales Richard Battle. “Dealers need to have adequate security measures in place to protect their inventory. KeyTrak is known as the industry leader in key control for a reason. We are the only supplier that provides single-source responsibility for our products. In addition, we service everything we deliver to dealers, and everyone involved is a company employee.”
KeyTrak offers three key control systems for the automotive industry, including the KeyTrak drawer-based system, the wall-mounted Guardian Versatile Smart Panel (VSP) and the fully contained Key Systems unit.
The classic KeyTrak system allows dealers to store and manage keys securely in a computerized drawer by attaching keys to trackable key tags. Using iButton technology, these key tags make it possible for an automatic audit trail to be created every time a key is removed from or replaced in the drawer. Each drawer can hold either 240 key tags or 10 dealer plates and 112 key tags.
For dealers who prefer to have the option for lockers, locked-down keys or drawers, KeyTrak offers the Guardian VSP. This system contains a key panel that holds key rings and a SmartPanel consisting of a touchscreen and fingerprint reader.
The Key Systems unit is a key dispenser designed for ease of use while providing security protections for accessing keys. A steel cabinet protects vehicles from unauthorized access by storing key boxes within a robotic central storage center.
“Each of our systems is designed to adapt to the needs of the dealer instead of the dealer having to adapt his or her needs to the limitations of a system,” said Battle.
NADA attendees can stop by booth #5039 for a complete demonstration of the three KeyTrak systems.
