The arrival of summer marks the season for the Alabama Sheriffs Association Summer Conference, where KeyTrak will be showcasing its industry-leading key and asset management systems. From July 14 to 17, the Alabama Sheriffs Association 2013 Summer Training Conference will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Orange Beach, AL.

“KeyTrak recently released the Guardian Versatile SmartPanel (VSP) to better serve the smaller law enforcement communities,” said Vice President of Sales Richard Battle. “The VSP’s 24-key panel prevents smaller units from purchasing unnecessary space while still providing all the security features of the Guardian, including the biometric fingerprint reader and motion-activated camera. This further develops the KeyTrak Guardian offering to provide more control and flexibility than any other key and asset control system on the market.”

The Guardian VSP gives users the ability to receive text alerts for invalid logon attempts, overdue keys, etc. It can also restrict access to sensitive keys by allowing users to lock down each key ring individually, preventing unauthorized users from physically obtaining keys. The traditional KeyTrak system employs a computerized drawer to secure keys and assets and records key transactions from the moment a user removes a key until it is returned.

Both KeyTrak and KeyTrak Guardian provide in-depth reporting, remote access capabilities and customizable alerts and alarms to help the law enforcement community create a streamlined process for generating a 100 percent verifiable audit trail, performing administrative functions and reducing liability risks and security breaches.

The Alabama Sheriffs Association is an executive-level professional association comprised of 67 elected sheriffs that hold conferences twice a year to provide educational, legislative and legal assistance to sheriffs and their support staff, law enforcement and state agencies and vendors.
